OCRE presents many opportunities for researchers. As one of the projects contributing to the realisation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), OCRE retains the same focus on the researcher/end-user that the EOSC has. 

Being one of the projects contributing to the realisation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) - the envisioned digital single marketplace for research services, OCRE is the clear gateway for commercial cloud service providers and digital Earth Observation service providers to reach up to 10,000 institutions across Europe.

Benefit from Cloud Vouchers and Adoption funding

Researchers, research institutions, and tender (buyer) groups can take advantage of the OCRE project's IaaS cloud vouchers, which are FREE at the point of the user. This is part of OCRE's aim of stimulating the uptake of commercial digital services by researchers.

There is also Adoption funding available for use by reasearchers and research projects, with both the second wave Cloud Funding for Research call launched on 15 September 2020 and the first Earth Observation Services Funding for Research call launched 14 October 2020 currently ongoing.
