In late January the OCRE project announced the award of a total of 473 OCRE IaaS+ framework agreements, easing access to commercial cloud services for researchers and research institutions in 40 European countries. The 27 different commercial cloud-based platforms sourced through the OCRE IaaS+ Tender have been made available through the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in the OCRE Cloud Catalogue.
We have collected a number of press releases from across the web. This is what others had to say:

The press releases from both suppliers and NRENs show an excitement for how the OCRE Framework Agreements will improve research outcomes in Europe. Each of the countries covered under the framework has a good selection of both international and European cloud services providers. Several of the NRENs are organising workshops run by different suppliers to showcase the capabilities of their platforms and new opportunities for the European research community provided by OCRE.
