Insights into the OCRE Project Status, September 2021

In the most recent InfoShare, as organised by the GEANT communications team, OCRE Project Director, David Heyns updated the OCRE community on the current status of the OCRE Project. The hour-long presentation highlighted the opportunities that have so far been presented to NRENs, based on current R&E consumption trends and trajectory. David Heyns touched upon the current issues experienced by NRENs, institutes and suppliers using the call-off contracts. The presentation also included on the status of the current institutional procurements and pending DPS for Earth Observation services. Finally, the InfoShare session addressed the remaining project activities focused on driving the adoption of cloud services and the way forward with EOSC Future (Synergies).
